My friend Lacey sent Tatum a fun early birthday package. Tatum was so excitied to rip into it. Lacey, you went above & beyond. We love it all!

Tatum's new favorite thing is to dance, so she's loving the music player. The monkey plates are coming in handy now too!

Beach Bum Baby

Last Wednesday we took Tatum to the beach with some friends. This girl is going to be such a beach bum! She loves the sand. She lunges for it as soon as you step into and then quickly runs her hands through it, back and forth. She'll lay her head down in it and just run it through her fingers. She never eats it...at least not anymore. I'm going to have to invest in a beach umbrella, I have a feeling we'll be spending lots of time there this summer.

I wrote her name in the sand, then thought it would be cool to take a pic of it. So I went back up to where my bag was, get my camera, walk back and I couldn't find where I had done it.

9 Months Old and Walking!

On March 23rd at 9 months of age, little Miss Tatum Rose took her first steps. My little baby is growing too fast! I'm still in shock that 1)I was there to witness it, I was running late for school so I really should have been in class when it happened and 2) That I had my camera right there to capture it all!

Where am I?

Last weekend we took Tatum to the Santa Barbara Zoo. My cousins were visiting from Vegas and it wasn't beach weather like our original plan so we decided to head to the zoo. It was Tatum's second time going. Her first time was a quick trip so I could complete a biology lab assignment. She was about 5 months old and was more interested in the people then the animals. Not this time. She was totally intrigued...and also confused on the animals. You could almost see her thought process going across her mind.

"What's that?"

"It kinda looks my white friend at home"

"My white friend doesn't do that"

"My white friend doesn't make that noise"

"What is it?!?!"

We hit the giraffe exhibit right when it was lunch time. So we got to go on this special balcony and feed the giraffes. I think Tatum wanted to take one home with us.

The last time we were there I took the obligatory photo in the egg. We have some of me and my sisters in the egg so it seemed fit to take some of Tatum in there too. They redesigned the children's play area and it's really nice now. Tatum had fun crawling all over the place.

5 Months & 9 Months

Of course if we are keeping with tradition then we had to take a photo at the "All in the Family" sign. Tatum doesn't looked too thrilled to be compared to a monkey...

Tatum was such a trooper the whole afternoon. Right as we were about to leave was when she decided she had enough. There was no getting a smile out of this girl for a Mommy & Baby picture!
